VILLAR LEADS IN THE COUNTRY’S BIGGEST UNIVERSITY SURVEY

To determine the pulse of the youth for the coming May 2010 Presidential elections, a group of advertising and public relations students who is now taking their political science subject in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila conducted a survey. Among the thousands surveyed with almost 600 randomly chosen respondents Villar and Noynoy transpired to be the leading candidates. The said survey was conducted on February 8 to 12, 2010.

After tedious interpretation of the collected data, different qualities what a leader must possess transpired. In the student’s perspective, the survey showed that they will not be only convinced by the mass usage of advertising as their strategy to gain votes, but the values and a stable political platform would be strongly considered. And the top qualities according to the survey are first, the political background of the candidates; second the candidate’s advertisements on all means possible and their strong character.

And finally, Senator Manny Villar topped the presidential survey gaining 20%, followed by Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino sharing 19% of the results, and lastly former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada got 16%. When respondents were asked on whom they will choose only of the top candidates, Villar against Aquino and Teodoro to villar. Villar gained 51% while Aquino got only 49%. Gibo Teodoro acquired 36% but Villar had 64%.

In the vice presidential results, Senator Manuel “Mar” Roxas gained 35% followed by Senator Loren Legarda with 29% and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay with 19%. If respondentswere to choose between the two candidates who topped the survey, Mar Roxas got 64% while Loren Legarda got 36%.

We always claimed that this survey only serves just a glimpse of the point of view of the youth. But we cannot also disregard this because we all know that mostly of the voting population of the country comprises them all,” as said by Mr. Timothy Guanzon, head researcher.

Above all, the key on the future of our country is in our hands… or I say in our thumbs,” he added.

Hmmm.... good survey, we also had one at our school.. but the leading is Noynoy followed by Villar.. But i think students did not take the survey seriously, because when you asked them about who they will choose they always say Villar or Teodoro...

no surprise that PUP will choose Manny Villar, most of the student of PUP is like Villar who came from the poor family but strive hard to get to where he is right now .. he is a good inspiration for student who is less fortunate but still dreams to have a better life and future ..

peace PUP !
